Google Adwords Dictionary - Positioning SEM
In this Google Adwords dictionary
I wanted to include 50 of the most important definitions used in adwords
campaigns. Understanding what Google's advertising network is and how it works
is very important, especially if you're thinking about getting the Google
Adwords certificate.
The 50 terms are arranged alphabetically
and a short description of each one is included. I am convinced that after
reading this glossary of terms, you will be much more clear about how SEM
positioning works.
If SEO positioning is understood
as "free" positioning, SEM marketing or search marketing would be the
positioning of payment. In any case SEO and SEM are two techniques that
everyone who is interested in search engine positioning, should control.
I hope these terms help you
understand what Google Adwords and SEM marketing are. You can expand the
knowledge with the help of adwords .
Adsense
Adsense belongs to the Google
advertising network. It allows publishers (owners of content supports, such as
websites, blogs, etc.) to place advertising subscribed by Google in exchange
for revenue depending on the type of campaign. It can be by number of
impressions (CPM) or by each time a user clicks on the ad (PPC)
Adwords
Adwords is Google's advertising
platform. It allows you to create and publish ads to promote your company,
products and services. You can use different advertising networks, such as the
search network, the display network, shopping ...
Text ad
They are the most common adwords
ads. They are composed only of text and appear (today, later Google can change
the number and location) only on top of the Google search results (serp's), up
to four ads.
Cost per
acquisition (CPA)
The CPA is the cost (what the advertiser is willing to pay)
for each conversion or goal your ad achieves. The conversions or objectives can
be very diverse: download an ebook, subscribe, buy a product, etc.
Cost per
click (CPC)
The CPC is what Google will charge you each time a user
clicks on an ad that has been shown. In the campaigns by CPC bids the
advertiser will only be charged if a click has occurred, but if the ad is shown
and the user does not click on it, nothing is charged. A maximum CPC is
established, which is the maximum that is willing to pay but, generally, the
final CPC will be less than the maximum established. For further info and get SEO services visit here: SEO Services in Lahore
Cost per
thousand impressions (CPM)
In the case of CPM-oriented campaigns, the advertiser does
not pay when the user clicks on an ad, but rather because of the number of
impressions (of times it is shown) of the advertiser. In this case, one bid is
made for every thousand impressions of the ad. It is used in the display
network.
